Friday, November 01, 2013 1:04 PM Christopher Isaiah Eaves Born 4-21-83 Died July 1, 2015 Christopher returned from Iraq with PTSD. His first psychotic break was in 2008, diagnosis Schizophrenia. My son went 18 months with psychosis and delusions, frequently putting himself in great danger. He did not believe he was ill. They would not involuntarily commit him, we were told we had to wait until he harmed himself or someone else. When he circumcised his 1 yr. old son (because his delusions convinced him that it was necessary to fix everything) he was thrown into jail and charged with a felony (assault of a child). He was Psychotic and delusional, weeping and wailing, thrown into isolation naked, for days on end. He waited 6 more months before being sent to Western State Hospital. He finally received medication at Western State- to make him competent to stand trial. He was then sent back to jail. He never recovered from the Trauma of this inhuman lack of treatment, and the results that ensued. He died in Western State Hospital on July 1st, 2015.
